This month I have two American Crafts layouts and a card to share. I’ve really been enjoying the new lines this season. Such pretty colors and patterns! For this first layout, I hand cut the title letters out of shapes and then pieced the shapes together to form letters. Had to add in some stitching as well!
This page started as something very different in my head, but once I started creating… it just sort of evolved. I first sketched the floral background with my Silhouette sketch pen. Then I watercolored it. (That was SO relaxing! Try it!) Then I decided that I didn’t like the white background so I sent it back through the Silhouette and die cut it. It’s not perfect since I didn’t have it lined up exactly the same way, but I like the end result ok. Oh – and the photo is straight in real life. Must have slipped while I photographed the layout!
And finally this happy card. I think the teacups are so sweet. I just hand cut them from a sheet of Shimelle patterned paper, stacked them and added a sentiment. Easy and fast! Hope you have a lovely day… thanks for stopping by!
