The June kit at Studio Calico is live and it’s a beauty. I worked with the main Hello Hello scrapbook kit, Hola, Bonjour, and Guten Tag. My favorite kit was Hola thanks to that awesome stamp set. I used it on two of my layouts this month.
Hello 4.5: I was inspired by the Hola stamp set to do a sort of “currents” page about my 4.5 year old. (He’s very fond of adding the “and-a-half” to his age lately!) I stamped some tags and words using the following Color Theory Inks: Deja Vu (such a perfect navy!), Sunny Day, Yes Peas, and Orange County. Then I cut them out and added them to my page. Love how they turned out! I used some navy scrylic paint to alter the “hello” veneer piece.
Love This Neighborhood: The paper here totally inspired the photos and topic for this page. I thought it would be a fun way to document some random neighborhood pics that I normally maybe wouldn’t scrapbook. We really do love our neighborhood and all the kids here that play together. It’s sort of reminiscent of how we grew up…outside running around with the neighbor kids. I used the digi stamp brush of “love this” as a cut file and die cut that part of my title.
Cousins: I wanted to do some paint stamping with the foam stamps in the main kit, so I got out my acrylic paints that I haven’t touched in a while, and just had fun playing. I’ll have a tutorial for this layout on the SC blog in a bit. Journaled on some vellum, which is always seems to work perfectly when I can’t figure out how to fit the story into the design.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day.
