So, what do you think of this month’s kit, Camelot?! Lovely, right? I think this is such a perfect kit for Spring. It just feels fresh. I worked with all the scrapbooking kits this month and here’s what I came up with….
Everyday: This page came together really quickly once I decided to use the cut file I designed for my color wheel wall art project (you can download it for free from that post!) along with one of the digi brushes from the Splendid Fiins set. Mix in some of those pretty patterns, colors, vellum, and some of the mist dauber, and this page is a great collection of everyday snapshots from the past summer. I took a bunch of in progress photos from this page, so I will possibly put together a video or tutorial on how it all came together.
Bring on the Happy: The photo of my two kiddos running on the beach at sunset just seemed to go really well with Suzy’s adorable stamp brush saying “Bring on the Happy.” I made the brush into a cut file and let it take center stage. Then I added a few printables, stitching, and rub-ons to finish it off.
July 4: Along with all the softer, spring like colors in this kit, there’s a few bolder colors as well. (especially in the add ons) I decided to take the red, white, and navy papers and embellishments and get my July 4th photos scrapped. I created the giant “4” with my Silhouette and then backed it with photos and patterned papers. I love how the gold accents pop with the patriotic colors and theme.
Happy Memory: I couldn’t wait to give Barb’s XO cut file a try for my last layout. It’s just such a cool idea and design. I altered it a little so that I had various sizes of “xo” down just the middle of my page. I actually cut it from two pieces of patterned paper so that the folded part of the cut would be the pattern I wanted to show off. If that makes sense! Then I backed the openings with some of the gold heart vellum, stitched down the flaps, and added my journaling on the pull out tag.
Thanks for stopping by and happy reveal day! Hope you get a cartful of goodies you love.
