I’ve been scrapping like crazy the past few days it seems! Finally getting to dig into my box of Basic Grey goodies and play. I have to admit, the Little Black Dress collection didn’t catch my eye online…but after seeing it in person and using it on a couple of layouts and a card… I really like it. It’s muted and soft. Perfect for weddings or formals, of course. But also great for family, girly, or fall photos too with all the greys and tans. One of the layouts I did will be on the BG blog in the next few days I think, but I wanted to go ahead and share the other two things I made.
This is my sweet niece, Caroline. Isn’t she just a doll?! We tried to get a few shots of her in her little tutu and hair bow last weekend and while she wasn’t too cooperative (hello… she’s almost two..what did we expect?!), I did get a few cute ones. Her outfit was a great match for Little Black Dress.
To make the big flower, I followed this tutorial I found on Pinterest. I used a scalloped edge circle punch instead of a regular circle punch. Very easy. I added a couple papers from Nook & Pantry to this page since I was working with the 6×6 pad and needed a larger background paper and some pink.
I also made a simple card. Some paper, rub-ons, and title stickers and viola….
Now… off to dig out from under this mess on my desk! Have a great day.
