It’s the last week of Summer here. The 3 bigs go back to school on Tuesday and unfortunately this last week hasn’t been the fun filled, final hurrah type of week I had hoped. Thank you again, Irene! Here’s what we’ve been up to the week…
Waiting for Irene to get here on Saturday…
Fixing the shutters that were blown off the day after… SO SO thankful that that’s all the damage we had. I was sure the windows were going to blow in at several points that night!
Reading by candlelight while we were without power for 3 1/2 days….
Then the kids and their neighborhood buds found this ramp in the woods. And spent the next couple days giving me a heart attack doing things like this… (and this was a little jump – he usually was going off the top…eek!) I’ve since taken the ramp away after several skinned knees!
And finally, our favorite used book sale that we hit every Labor Day weekend. They opened a day early this year, so we went yesterday and stocked up. This was only a portion of what we got (there are several more kids hardback books and picture books) and the final price was $16! Love that.
After the book sale, Will took a nice long nap and I worked on some crafty stuff. Here’s what I came up with after seeing this printable on pinterest. I printed the design on vellum and then attached it to the bottom of my 8.5×11 page. Then I punched some circles of SC papers (and a couple other brands too) and in no time this quick layout was finished. It’s rare that I can finish a page in one naptime… but this one came together so so fast!
Have a great weekend!
