I’ve been meaning to post my Lawn Party pages all week and just now getting to it. Here ya go…
This page was fun to put together with all those alphas! And I’m glad I got the memory recorded. (used a little Sunshine and White Mister Huey’s on the background)
Each DT member chose a layout from the member gallery to scraplift this month. I chose this page by Danielle Flanders.
I always am inspired by Dani’s work. The little details she includes, her beautiful designs. I loved the big letter she used for her title. Here’s my take on it with a photo of my parents’ on their wedding day. The Crate Paper Portrait line is perfect for weddings! I used the Chili Pepper JBS ink.
I don’t often use large photos on my pages, but this one called for BIG. The title was made with the Aqua Zing, Versamark ink, and a heat tool. A tutorial on the paper strips heart will be coming soon.
This one has a lot of hand stitching on it! And yay for circles! Connor came up with the idea of having a “family drawing contest” every night where someone would come up with a subject (ex: dragons, animals, castles, etc), we’d all draw our versions of it, and then give out “prizes” for most detailed, most original, most creative, best coloring, etc. Basically everyone got a prize for something. 😉 We did it nightly for a week or so, but haven’t in a while. I’m sure it will come up again soon!
Used the Sew Easy tool on this page for the flower stems and some more zing… Rouge and Blush. I basically stamped the image in Versamark ink, then sprinkled a little Rouge zing in different areas, leaving some areas bare. Then added Blush zing in the bare areas. This way I got two different colors blending in the same image.
And that’s it! Thanks for stopping by… have a fantastic NSD! Hope to see you in the chat room on Sunday night.
