To kick off the fun that’s to be had this weekend at CHA, Studio Calico is hosting a fun blog hop to give fans a chance to see the new product in use and win some goodies from the new lines. Great way to start a Monday morning, yes? I got to work with the Countryside line and I’m in love with it. The mix of colors, the patterns, the coordinating mists… they are all just perfection in classic SC style. Here’s the layout I made for the booth…be on the look out for it if you’re lucky enough to be going to the show! (I’m sitting this year out again. boo.)
My assignment was to highlight the phrase rub-ons. I decided to cut off the “i” that comes before each verb and make them more advice-like. If that makes sense. These are awesome little journaling prompts. Especially for people like me who may not be extremely verbose!
I also love the Fabrips this time around. They’ve changed them up slightly, giving you a whole sheet in one design rather than a bunch of different designs. Love that you can cut things out of them, like I did the leaves. Of course you can still rip them, punch them, pleat them, twist them, or just leave them plain…like I did on this page…
I couldn’t resist using another pack of those phrase rub-ons. I love that the green pack is perfect for summary pages or birthday pages. You can fill in milestones at certain ages or let your older kids complete these themselves. I went a little mist happy on this one too. Used Pickle and Lemonade Mister Huey’s. LOVE them. The colors are so vibrant and saturated. (oh…and if you sign up for my Adventures in Misting class at Scrapaganza…this is one of the pages we’ll be making! In girl or boy variation. yay!)
I thought I’d giveaway the two products I used on both these pages. The rub-on phrases….
and the green woodgrain Fabrips…
So, just leave a comment for a chance to win until 12:00am EST on wednesday morning. I’ll draw a random winner later that day. And be sure to check out the other stops on the blog hop for more chances to win. Up next is Sasha Farina! Thanks for stopping by!
