1. A fine Thanksgiving was had by my little family yesterday. We stayed put for the first time ever and celebrated on our own. I was a little nervous about making dinner and making it any good. But I used a bunch of Pioneer Woman recipes and…well, you can’t really go wrong there. Everything was delicious. Not as good as my mom makes, but good. And the mashed potatoes. I must say… they were amazing. And probably more calories and fat than I need to consume in about a week’s time. But hey… it’s a holiday, right?
2. The Disney trip countdown is in the single digits! Yay!!! Although I feel like I have waaaaay too much to get done in order to be ready to leave. ugh. Hate that feeling.
4. Managed to get the tree up and decorated today. Need to finish a few more things tomorrow to get the house all set for Christmas. Including wrapping my 24 childrens’ Christmas books. We do a Christmas book advent each year. I’ve collected quite a stash of Christmas books and keep them out of reach the rest of the year. Now I need to pick 24 for this year’s advent, wrap them, and put a number on each. Then we pick that day’s number and read a book each evening before bed. It’s a fun tradition and one that I hope the big kids won’t outgrow too fast. Will needs to have a few years of it first! He’s really into books right now, so I’m excited to wrap up some of the baby board Christmas books again this year!
5. I didn’t do any shopping today, although had fun looking through all the ads that came in the fat paper yesterday. But here’s a heads’ up to my scrapping friends… go to SC now and get in on the Black Friday sales while they are still on! I should have posted earlier today, just didn’t get a chance! There’s a LOT of awesome, awesome deals to be had!
And don’t forget the Metropolitan reveal tomorrow night! LOVED this kit. And cannot wait to see all the DT’s work with it!
