The princess of the house turned five this week and we celebrated her bday in style today. She requested a tea party after getting a tea set last Christmas from Grandma along with a tea party recipe book. So for the past several months we’ve been “planning” the menu, guest list, etc. And today it all came together. She had a great time and I think everyone else did too. I ordered printable party decor items from The TomKat Studio. Her stuff is gorgeous and so easy to print and use. Here’s a peek at the day….
I made the cupcakes from a box, but the frosting… I made myself from scratch. For the first time. And it turned out so yummy! Aren’t the cupcake toppers the cutest? You just print them out and then use a 2 inch scallop punch on them.
Made all the butterflies using a printable from TomKat. Traced them on various scraps of patterned paper. And then hung them down from the light fixture over the little table (it’s a kid-sized table, lower than normal).
The bday girl. Waiting for her guests to arrive! I used some left over Dear Lizzy trim to make the flower accent on her tshirt and hair clip. Made the tutu too. And 5 more for her guests last night. Lots of tulle around here! LOL
