I was alerted the other day by a sweet friend (Hi Donna!) that it had been a MONTH since I’ve updated this blog. What? How could a whole month possibly gone by already?! Phew! We had a very busy end of July and whole of August…full of houseguests and travels and getting ready for school and baby. But things are settling in now that the boys are back in school and life is more on a normal schedule. Here are a couple shots of them on their first day this past Tuesday….
It rained and poured all that day, so these are the only shots I got of them. But the important thing is that they had a great day and so far a great first week of FIRST GRADE! I still can’t believe I have 2 first graders!
On the baby front…we finished (well, almost) the baby’s room. This is the set we got here. Sorry I couldn’t get a pic of it to show up on my blog. The walls are painted a soft green called Nantucket Breeze from Benjamin Moore. I just need to hang the curtain and get a lamp and some baskets to hold diapers, etc. The official c/section date is set for Oct. 26th, so we are at less than 7 weeks and counting now!!! Yay!
Scrapbooking has been difficult this summer. Too many kids running around during the day and not enough energy at night to get much done. But I do have some things to share from the Studio Calico September Kit (one of my favorite kits of all time I think!) and a layout I did yesterday for a challenge I’m co-hosting on the SC blog. Take a quick peek!
The first one I did with the kit was this one. I met my friend Cindy at the Botanical Gardens in Richmond and the kids had a great time. The moms did too! It’s a beautiful place that we’ll need to visit again next summer.
I scrapped the belly pics here…love the SC frame stamp! So sweet.
The boys and their box robots in the garage!
Some shots from blueberry picking back in July…
And one of Cate in her really pretty dress before Aunt Missy’s rehearsal dinner.
And finally, here’s one I finished this week for an all about boys challenge on the SC blog. Connor in his googles just makes me smile.
Thanks, Donna, for the reminder that I needed to update this! I’ve been meaning to for weeks, but you know what they say about best laid plans…
Have a great day!
