In honor of National Scrapbooking Day (yes, there really is a “holiday” for this once a year…for you non scrappers who may be reading!), Studio Calico is doing a huge round of challenges. Each DT member will be posting a challenge on her blog along with a photo of the fabulous SC add-on kit you could win if you complete the challenge. Just complete the challenge by next Saturday, May 2nd, post it in the SC gallery and then link it up on the DT member’s blog that it’s for. Entries must be linked up by 11:59pm on the 2nd to be entered for the prize! The good news though…you can have multiple chances to win by completing multiple challenges. AND you have a whole week to get them done!
So, here’s my challenge to you. It’s fairly simple but is in honor of my 3 year old daughter who lately thinks any old pattern should be able to be worn with any other old pattern. Ahem. I have some work to do with her on matching shirts and pants! Anyways, I’m challenging you to do a better job at mixing and matching than my 3 year old! Just use 3 different patterned papers on a layout. That’s it. Easy, right?
And here’s what you might win… I’m giving away the Wisdom add-on.
Remember…link your patterned paper challenge layout up here to my blog by 11:59pm on the 2nd!
And speaking of SC and all the pretty kits they put together…have you been thinking about May’s project kit? If you are on the fence about it or think the sewing/painting/canvas thing isn’t for you, I want to say GIVE IT A TRY! Seriously. I would never have bought one of these on my own. I think they are super cool…but I can’t do that artsy painting on canvas kind of thing. 😉 I loved the fabrics that April and Scarlet chose for the kit though, and all the goodies that come with it, so I decided to order a kit and give it a try. Well, I finished my book today and I’m in LOVE. There’s no paint on it. No sewing. Just fabric, some paper, buttons, rubons, and IRON-ON photos/journaling. It really came out very cool, if I do say so myself…even though it’s very simple. Very. But I still love it. Here are some little peeks…
That’s it for me. It’s actually hot here today. Like 90! I need to figure out something for dinner too…hmm…what can I grill?! Any good grilling recipes anyone? Have a great weekend!
