and I haven’t updated in a while. So get ready for a long post! I hope you are having a great start to 2009. Here’s a quick run down of our past week and a half….
We spent Christmas in Pittsburgh. Santa brought the traditional Christmas Eve jammies for all the kids… 6 kids under 6 this year!
We actually had our very first family portrait done. It only took 5+ years…but if you know about my traumatic experience involving poop and Picture People you understand my hesitation about these things. Anyways, it went better than expected and here’s our little family on the day after Christmas.
Not the best, but not awful either! And the biggest hooray… no poop!
Then we traveled to Columbus, Ohio to visit my husband’s grandmother. You’d never guess that this spunky lady is well into her eighties! We even had her wii bowling!
After a quick visit to the Urgent Care in Columus with Cate who came down with bronchitis, we headed south back to Virginia.
and stopped for the night in Lexington, VA… our home for the first three years of marriage and law school. Here’s Jack who thought watching TV on the hotel bed was just the coolest thing.
The next morning we drove around Lexington a bit taking a stroll down memory lane. It feels so long ago that Brian was in law school here and I taught at the high school there…but also like it was just yesterday. Ah, the easy carefree years before children! Here’s a shot Connor took of us in front of the main buildings at Washington and Lee Univ.
But we are finally home now. And while we had a great time away, it’s always nice to get back home.
I also have my Studio Calico layouts to post. The exclusive papers and stamps this month were gorgeous. Way to go, SC!
And, yes. I spelled kindergarten wrong! But I didn’t realize that until after I uploaded the pic of the layout. And then it was too late. I often put my letters on backwards for some reason. It’s easier for me to make sure they fit that way. And I think I was so focused on making all those letter squish in there that I put the d instead of t. ugh. Sorry! Oh well.
And that’s it for now. Happy Friday!
