This post is all about books. Just by chance actually. I wanted to first share a layout I did for this week’s challenge over at the Design Experiment Blog as guest designer. The journaling prompt was “what one thing do you need to make it through the day.” Here’s what I came up with…
And here’s the journaling since it’s hard to read there…
“Boredom busters. Fight enders. Behavior modifiers. Peace and quiet inducers. Learning partners. Patience stretchers. Bedtime helpers. Perfect distracters. I (we!) can’t make it through a day without them!”
They have some great challenges (and prizes!) going on over at TDX…make sure you check them out!
Here’s the other thing I worked on today. Well, one of them. I wrapped 24 children’s Christmas books.
I started this Christmas countdown tradition a couple of years ago after reading about it on 2peas I think. I collected 24 Christmas books and wrapped one for each day leading up to Christmas. Each night before bed the kids open one and we read it as their bedtime story. The first year I really had to scrape up 24 holiday books and many were little board books. But each year I seem to accumulate more, and now I have a really nice little stash of them. I keep them boxed up through the year so they are fresh when they open them as their advent countdown. My kids have always been in love with books, so this was a fun tradition to start.
And that’s about it for today. Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving. I know I have so so much to be thankful for!
