Well, I think I’ve got all three costumes figured out and ready to go. No small feat around here. After much deliberating, they decided what they wanted to be and we went about the business of buying and making the costumes. Well, I only *made* one of them. Which was super easy and only took a couple hours total. But I’ve been gathering the bits and pieces this week for all of them…including some layers to go underneath the costumes since it’s supposed to actually be cold here on Friday. We’ve been pretty spoiled the past few years with 70degree Halloweens! Not this year.
Fountain Square. Did you get yours ordered? The new kit from Studio Calico? Don’t forget the add-ons too! Such a beautiful mix of goodies. April and Scarlet knock it out of the part every month. Here are my projects…
My favorite part of the kit is probably the Amy Butler stuff. Love her patterns and the die cut butterflies are amazing! Here’s the little girl at her first ballet class. I had to take these pics through the little window in the door since parents wait outside the class…but they turned out okay. She cracks me up in that class.
This next one gave my scissors a work out! I cut the circle strips out of the MM paper. And layered them over the lined paper. I also used a bit of the wood vaneer and some of the exclusive rip strips. You will love the rip strips!
More of the wood vaneer on this. I splintered it up to make the frame around the photo.
This last layout is pretty simple. I used the rip strip on this to make a little border along the bottom.
And finally… I made a little minibook using the Maya Road chipboard book in the one add-on. I kept it simple…painted it all cream first. Then added some papers and Amy Butler diecuts.
And that’s it. Speaking of SC…I’ll keep the drawing for the Sophia Add-On kit open until the 30th. I pick a winner and post it on Halloween. Have a great night!
