She’s 3 today! Can’t believe it. Really, it feels like she was just born. But here she is…three years old today. Happy Birthday my sweet girl!!!!
To say I was blown away by the response from the Pink Paislee blog hop would be an understatement! Wow, it was amazing to see all your comments. Thank you for saying such nice things! And congrats to Erika for being the lucky winner through random.org!
Many of you asked where I found that little pincushion dress form girl. Well, I found it last year sometime at Hancock Fabrics. It was on clearance for like $2 or something and has a really ugly bright orange floral fabric covering it underneath all that pretty Pink Pailsee. I tried to google the manufacturer number on the tag, but no luck. They have some similiar things out there. One site is www.alldressforms.com Let me know if you find any other good places to buy them. As for how I did it… It was mainly trial and error. LOL I used a piece of printer paper (since it’s thinner and see through kind of) to make a little pattern for the top. That was the hardest part. And I did the top in four pieces. A front panel, a back panel, and then two side panels. I just used some Aleene’s Quick Dry Tacky Glue to adhere it all and it worked really well. The pleated skirt took some time, but I did it in small panels and then stitched the panels together to tie around the waist. The whole project probably took a couple hours (with little bits here and there when I could work on it). Not too bad.
Finally, I’ll leave you with some more new Pink Paislee projects. Two 8×8 layouts. The first one uses Pop Fashion.
This one is Vintage Moon. But the colors are so gorgeous you can use it for more than just Halloween. And I love all the different colors of alpha stickers. Here I used the alphas in the same color as the paper as a border. The sand really nicely too to distress them a bit. The black triangle border is a rubon that I just curved as I applied it.
I’ll post my Pink Paislee mini book tomorrow. Running out of time right now! Thanks for reading this far!
