The July kit at Studio Calico went on sale on the 28th…get yours while they last! Thought I’d share my layouts for this month. Each of us were assigned a kit gallery that we were to look through and select a layout from to scraplift. I had the Hand Picked gallery and there were so many gorgeous creations to choose from, but I finally decided to lift this beautiful page by Amy Coose. I loved how she used the frames to house mini collages almost and ran with that idea. Here’s my take on it…
We don’t get to travel too much anymore…it’s on the back burner because of young children and budgets ( 😉 ), but I still wanted to do a travel themed page with this MM Passport map paper. So I did one that is about out “someday” travel. There’s nothing on here yet, but I think it will be fun to add places we want to visit someday on the little postcards as we think of them. For the GO SEE DO stamp, I outlined it with a marker after stamping it.
Ever have a layout that just comes together in no time? It’s a rare thing for me since I usually push things around for a couple hours before I get it just right! But this one scrapped itself. Can’t go wrong with the green and red together and yummy strawberries, right?
Speaking of red…loved all those red flowers and buttons in the Passport suitcase (in the Stockholm add on I believe..that suitcase is the cutest thing ever!). I used a bunch of the flowers on this page about my Grandma on her 80th birthday….doesn’t she look beautiful…80 years old!
Last layout… this one was actually inspired by the promo cards in this month’s kit with all the letters on the backside. My nephew, Andrew.
Oh, and here’s a quick card I did that didn’t make it into the gallery….
And that’s it! Thanks for making it through all that! Hope you have a great rest of the weekend.
